Passion, Power and The Purse became our tag line because of all the words we came up with to define women were encompassed by them.

Passion Whether they love their lovers, family, pets, friends, hobbies or causes, women do it with Passion, with heart and with incredible strength.

Power Whatever they do in the world, women absorb everything they learn, make change in the world, and help others. Women have Power, courage and tenacity.

Purse Women move the economy to the tune of making or influencing more than 92% of the purchasing decisions in the US with their spending, not to mention that they love their PURSES, so with that double meaning came our last word!

What We Do

We provide information, education and resources to empower women to lead better, healthier, more efficient and informed lives. Through the innovative and unique promotional approach, information is displayed in an interactive way designed to move women to action through interaction. Red is a vehicle to connect women with other like minded women, resources that will fill their needs, and savings that allow women to stretch their dollars further, to get more for less and to learn how to live more efficiently needing less.

We specialize in bringing business owners to a forum presenting their products and services to the women who need, want or enjoy them. It is our fondest desire to help small business owners become well known and respected in the communities they serve by offering an attractive, interesting and interactive venue to potential clients. We make stars out of local business women by bringing their stories to life. We provide opportunity for a community of women to learn, grow and advance in self development, career and family life.

The Inspiration Behind Red

Red is a power color. It’s hot. It’s fierce. It’s passionate! It is also a play on the words. And, it has always been my favorite color.

It has nothing to do with the color of my hair, though it is Red, too.

From the time I was a little girl, my mother always told me no matter what is going on in your life “keep your girlfriends close.” I am the consummate girlfriend. My mother was right and over the years, I have become an advocate for women in the most recent careers I have chosen, as a psychotherapist, writer and as a publisher of women’s print magazines.

Why Digital

As times are changing in our world, it dawned on me that printing magazines allows for only a chance viewing of the important and relevant information is limiting, print costs are high and waste is excessive.

The internet is the future representing a universe that is still untapped. It is at our fingertips nearly 24/7. With weekly deliveries of incredible, usable and valuable stuff women can pass along to others, printing only what they need and want, connect with people they want or need to know, all the while absorbing what the world has to offer with just the click of a mouse. What a concept!

Creating a brand new, cutting edge, dynamic digital magazine is exciting and provocative. Its aim is to provide women with what they love, need and become inspired to receive every week.

Women are hungry. They are hungry for connection, information, education, resources, involvement and values that will make their life better. RED in Chicago is a unique, cutting edge, interactive Weekly Digital Magazine for women.

RED in Chicago answers the needs of the many – easy access, great info, wisdom, values, inspiration and humor, just a mouse click away.

Weekly Subscription

The notion of doing a weekly was researched intently. The decision to go weekly was based on the following: 1) Women like routine, especially routine that provides inspiration, humor, great deals, insights and connection with others, 2) Women look forward to special things and lose interest in things with too much time lag and 3) Values that are available at a click of the mouse are appealing and socially relevant today, commanding more is better.

Coming Soon: RED in Chicago will be Chicago’s premier purveyor of Red Hot Dailies – deals especially picked for women who care about themselves, their friends, family and lovers. It will be a woman’s link to smart, savvy shopping, services, and intellect in the Chicago market place. RED will also produce annual guides for women to rely on for health & fitness, business, financial, dining and wining (no, not whining) and travel information.

Red has been designed to engage and to move women to action and connection through interaction.
